　手品師はスランプであった。そこで彼は、科学者に炎を吹き出す杖を作らせた。すると科学者は杖を作って、手品師に渡すと「このスイッチを押すと、火が先端から吹き出します」と言った。そして手品師は外に出て、その杖のテストをした。すると杖は炎を吹き出した。その時、箒に乗った魔女が空を飛んでいた。魔女はその炎を見ると、降りて来てライオンに変身した。手品師はライオンを見て驚き、杖を落として逃げて行った。ライオンは元の魔女に戻ると、杖を拾って飛び立った。その時、科学者が窓から魔女を見て驚き「何で動力源の無い箒が飛ぶんだ! 非科学的だ!」と叫んだ。その時ジャンボジェット機が飛んでいた。魔女はそのジェット機を見て驚き「あんな大きな鉄の塊が飛ぶなんて自然の摂理に反してるわ!」と叫んだ。魔女は家に帰ると、魔術師に杖を見せて「この杖は火を吹き出すんだけど、いかなる魔力も感じられないのよ」と言った。すると魔術師はその杖に火を吹かせると、魔力を封じる呪文を唱えた。しかし火は止まらなかった。彼は言った。「信じられん。どんな大魔術師が作ったんだ。」
A conjuror was in a slump. That was why he got a chemist to make a stick that blows out a flame. And the chemist made a stick of flame, and gave the conjuror, and said, “Push this switch, then a flame will blow out from the tip.” And the conjuror went out and tested the stick. And the stick blew out a flame. Then a witch rides a broom, was flying. She saw the flame, and came descending and metamorphosed herself into a lion. And the conjuror saw the lion, and got been surprised and dropped the stick, and escaped. And the lion returned into the witch, and picked the stick up, and took off. Then the chemist looked her out of the window, and got been surprised and shouted, “Why does that broom fly without a power source!? It's unchemical!” Then a jumbo jet was flying. The witch looked a jumbo jet, and got been surprised and shouted, “Such a big lump of iron flies that goes against providence of nature!” And the witch came back to her house, and showed a wizard the stick, and said, “This stick blows a flame. But I can't sense magical power perfectly.” And the wizard did let it blow a flame, and chanted a spell that seals magical power. But the flame didn't stop. And he said, “It isn't believable! What a great wizard made it!?”
