　ある日、空中に巨大な金魚鉢が現れた。そしてその中には大きな魚がいた。それはアリオンであった。その時戦車がアリオンを撃ったが、アリオンは全くびくともしなかった。そしてその戦車がアリオンの影の中に入ると、影の中に沈んで金魚鉢の中に現れ、魚がその戦車を食べた。生き残った者が帰って一部始終を報告すると、大勢の兵士達が来て、大量の爆弾を影の中に落とした。すると落とした爆弾がアリオンの中に現れて爆発し、アリオンは吹き飛んだ。

　その頃、セレ二タは、そんな事件は知らずに、食事をしていた。彼の肩にはカエサルが乗っていた。セレ二タはカエサルに「ガンダムって、重水素とヘリウムⅢで動いているんだ。ラナも同じ方法で動いてるのかな」と言った。するとカエサルが、一応同じ事は出来るな。それにはトランスミューターの第二の機能を使うんだ。核子を人工的に組み替えるんだが、重水素一つとヘリウムⅢ一つを、水素一つとヘリウム一つと、2ピコ・・・、いや、単位を揃えよう。2941.59フェムトジュールのエネルギーに変換するんだ。ラナは普段、第四の機能で物質をエネルギーに変換してるんだ。陽子一つは150327.75フェムトジュールのエネルギーになって、電子一つは81.89フェムトジュールのエネルギーになって、中性子一つは150534.96フェムトジュールのエネルギーになるんだ。ラナはガンダムと同じ量の燃料から、255倍くらい沢山のエネルギーを取り出せるんだ。ラナには動力パイプが内蔵されていて、その動力パイプの中には、動脈管と静脈管が1本ずつあるんだけど、そのトランスミューターで作られたエネルギーは、動脈管の中にある空気に与えられて、その空気が電離圏プラズマに変わるんだ。自然界では、電離層で、空気が太陽の強力な紫外線でイオン化して出来るんだ。成分は、大体 電子が100個、窒素分子1価陽イオンが78個、酸素分子1価陽イオンが21個、そしてアルゴン原子1価陽イオンが1個くらいの割合で混ざって出来ているんだ。窒素分子のイオン化エネルギーは、1モルあたり1503キロジュールで、酸素分子のイオン化エネルギーは、1モルあたり1165キロジュールで、アルゴン原子のイオン化エネルギーは、1モルあたり1521キロジュールだ。出来上がった電離圏プラズマは、動脈管の中を流れて、機体各所のアイオニック・モーターに送られて、そのアイオニック・モーターは電離圏プラズマからエネルギーを取り出して動いて、エネルギーを取られた電離圏プラズマは空気になって、静脈管を通ってトランスミューターに戻るんだ。電離圏プラズマは、1キログラムの体積は773.4リットルくらいで、49.4メガジュールくらいのエネルギーが発生するんだ」と言った。セレ二タは「普通の燃料よりどれくらい凄いのかな」と言った。するとカエサルが「ガンダムのエネルギー効率は、薪の1700万倍、石炭の1300万倍、ガソリンの800万倍くらいだ」と言った。セレニタは「ガンダムの形式番号はRX-78-2なんだけど、ラナにもそんな番号無いかな」と言った。するとカエサルが「君が作ったんだから、好きな番号を勝手につければいいだろう」と言った。するとセレニタは「何か参考になる事教えてくれないかな」と言った。するとカエサルは「君のお父さんも、カエルのロボットを作ってたんだ。名前はツァパルディアといって、駆動系は、ラナと同じ電離ガス・アイオニック・モーター・システムだけど、電離ガスは、ネオン原子10価陽イオンが使われてるんだ。1キログラムの体積は1111.2リットルで、6513メガジュールのエネルギーが出るんだ。上半身がMB-77、下半身がMG-92、そしてコクピット・ブロックがGC-63なんだ。MBはメカニック・ブラッサートで、機械の籠手という意味で、MGはメカニック・グリーヴで、機械の脛当てという意味で、GCはグレート・キュイラスで、大きな胴鎧と言う意味だ」と言った。するとセレニタは「ブストはMB-78で、ガルバニはMG-93で、レナクァホはGC-64で決まりだ」と言った。

　後半の、エネルギーと、形式番号の話は、日本語の漫画にはありません。エネルギーの話は第六話で、動力源や装甲材質の話を書きたした後で付け足しました。形式番号の話は、マスターグレードのジムが、ガンダムと同様のAパーツとBパーツと、コア・ブロック型のコクピット・ブロックから出来てる事を知った時に付け足しました。薪は1キログラムが燃えると20.3メガジュールのエネルギーが出て、石炭は1キログラムが燃えると27.6メガジュールのエネルギーが出て、ガソリンは1キログラムが燃えると43.6メガジュールのエネルギーが出ます。そしてガンダムは1キログラムの燃料から352, 038, 601.9メガジュールのエネルギーが出て、ラナは1キログラムの燃料から98, 875, 517, 873.7メガジュールのエネルギーが出ます。ゴッドマーズは反陽子エネルギーで動きますけど、インテークから空気を吸って、反陽子と対消滅させる仕組みであれば、1キログラムの燃料から179, 751, 035, 747.4メガジュールのエネルギーが出る事になります。ちなみに反陽子は、1立方センチメートルあたり、309, 432, 826.687トンです。そして液体重水素は、1立方センチメートルあたり0.1415グラムで、液体ヘリウムIIIは、1立方センチメートルあたり0.0940グラムです。ラナの駆動系は、電離ガス・アイオニック・モーター・システムですけど、これは、機動戦士ガンダムに登場する、ザクというロボットの、動力パイプの中には流体パルスが流れているんですけど、この流体パルスがイオン化ガスである説に基づいた設定の盗用です。流体パルスは、液体である説もあります。
